With multiple CD's receiving airplay around the world, this group has fans everywhere they go, and they work social media well to stay connected with those fans at all times. Well known for her high energy, entertaining and classy style, Kathy Boyd provides the bass beat and sparkle to Phoenix Rising.  The driving energy behind the success of the band, Kathy is internationally admired for her business sense and hands-on management style.  With an entertainment and public speaking career spanning decades, Kathy knows what an audience wants and ALWAYS delivers.  She is known as a ten-gallon soul in a half pint body.

Tim Crosby is known far and wide for his ability to give any instrument he picks up a personality of its own.  With songwriting talents compared to those of Waylon Jennings, Woodie Guthrie and Bruce Springsteen, Tim Crosby shares emcee duties with Kathy and takes on the multiple roles of fiddle, mandolin and guitar player. His playing and songwriting skills form the character of much of the bands sound.

Our own master storyteller and dancing teddy bear, Tom Tower takes on the duties of both banjo and Dobro player for the band.  Tom's playing and songwriting add a bit of whimsy and fun to the band - and he is always the favorite of kids of all ages.  He is the winner of the 2010 International City Love Music competition, a meditation master and teacher of life’s lessons.

Singing tenor and bringing that "high lonesome" sound to the band, Dennis Nelson has proven to be an invaluable member of Phoenix Rising.  With a background in blues and country rock, Dennis adds his unique perspective on rhythm guitar and harmonica.  An accomplished songwriter, Dennis was the winner of the 2008 Roots Music Association Bluegrass Songwriter of the Year title.
