Bluegrass EVANSTON

The Bluegrass Evanston Committee was formed in 2011 by a group of Evanston citizens who were interested in creating a world class music festival for the community and raise money for the purpose of maintaining Evanston's connection to its sister school in Kenya, Africa.

In 2014,Bluegrass Evanston was incorporated as a 501c3 charitable organization whose purpose it is to  produce an annual regional bluegrass festival to raise money for its educational initiative: To provide educational opportunities for disadvantaged children living in impoverished areas around the world and in our own community and, advancing a culture of caring, awareness and empathy about global issues within our schools and community.
